Join a Peace Circle!
Peace Circles provide a safe space where individuals can share, learn, inspire and hold each other accountable to practice nonviolence. They provide a way for individuals to connect and support one another in a small group (2-4 people).
The focus is to share with the group how you are doing, what you are doing to serve life and promote nonviolence, and what practices you are doing to internally connect with the power of nonviolence in your life. Focusing on these things helps us be accountable, support each other and celebrate together. Peace Circles can meet in person or on zoom. If you are interested in participating in a Peace Circle on zoom contact us here.
We are looking for volunteers to lead Peace Circles. If you are interested please let us know and we will provide a free training on how to facilitate your own Peace Circle.
Sample questions we ask:
How is it with your heart?
What did you specifically do this week to practice nonviolence, to serve life and/or to contribute to your well-being and that of others?
Did you do anything that stimulated harm for yourself or others? If so, is there something you can do to make things better?
What are you doing to connect with the spirit of ahisma (nonviolence)? (Examples: reading a book on nonviolence, meditation, prayer, mourning, eurythmy, attending a seminar or workshop, a spiritual practice, etc.)
“A small group of thoughtful people can change the world. Indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.”
